Fasting... Friends....Fasting
11 October 2005

Hey Blog

Today I just laze around at home since its my OD. My CREST classmates orgainising dinner gathering for break fast. As usual I will assist them to coordinate with the rest. I will sms all my classmates. At first, we (Zai, Rafiee and myself) were excited with the event. But by evening it was quite discouraging due to poor response. End up we had to cancel it. Sooo sad... :-( However with hope that next upcoming event they able to participate. However I'm glad that I able to assist both of you. If you guys need further assistance simply give me a buzz...

To kill the time, I read an interesting article on food.... by TAN HSUEH YUN/POSH NOSH
Here how it goes...
"Apart from stopping in to buy the occasional baguette or butter croissant, I don't often step into DELIFRANCE. So imagine my surprise when I found some rather delicious deserts on thier new menu.

Cherries Jubilee and Crepe Suzette hark backl to the 1970s when French food was new and exotic. Our taste buds are more sophiscated now, but that doesn't mean we can't appreciate
these deserts when they are well make.

I love the giant black cherries DELIFRANCE CERISES JUBILE. They are proached in orange and cherry juice, making them juicy, sweet and tart all the same time. A scoop of vanilla ice cream smooths everything out nicely.

The CREPE SUZETTE, I love for its fresh, tangy orange flavour. Theres some heft to this desert too because the pancake is stuffed with caramelised apple wedges.

Both are made without the usual booze because DELIFRANCE is HALAL. All in, they were quite delightful and you don't even have to go to a fancy restaurant to enjoy them..."

Fuyohhh its enough to make me drool.... Can't wait to try these deserts... At least it give me another reason to dine at DELIFRANCE....

Disaster.. Disaster...
08 October 2005

Laze aroud at home since its my off day... However unable to get good sleep since my estates was under main upgrading precint... Drilling works that creates noise pollution.... Aaarrrhhhhh......

Well since I can't sleep, I scribble this note...
Recently I received called from a friend, saying that he filed a complaint to the police that kids playing at playground were noisy and he requesting the police to assist to stop this kids from playing immediate... When the police arrived, all the kids dispersed.... and he laugh non-stop....

Guess what, I scolded him for doing so.... He remain silence as I continued to lecture him of his action... Siao ah ler.... Kids playing at playground also complaint. Then whats the playground for...!?!?!? Display?!? Or just an item to beautify the landscape....?!?!? My friend just remained silent...

From my thoughts:
1) Have we forgotten that once upon a time we are young too??

2) Does the government build the playground to play or for display only???

Well if I could recalled, during olden days kids are very active. They had the liberty to play, run, scream and shout at playground. Had great time playing games [marble, gasing, catching, police and thief, zero point, rounders (something like baseball but without using bat), tearing cardboard and slide down the slope] and etc. Those are the days... Boys and girls played the games together yet no one complaint.

But now even a slightest sound also complaint or feedback. With modern technology, theres different type of games you can played.... Playstation, XBox, Nintendo, Gameboy, LAN gaming etc... Have we become square like computer.... Everywhere computer... Home Computer, School Computer, Office Computer... Not enough staying in HDB square unit... But remember not all could afford to own those gadgets...

Soon we will be lacking of communication and seems to be living in an environment with no human touch... Doesn't they have any other better things to do besides complaining,,,, Soon Singapore will be nominated as island of complaints. Seems that Singaporean lack sense of appreciative.... All they know was to complaint... complaint, complaint on others... Isn't it ridiculous...

Even worse with advance technology, mode of communication changed too. From letter writing, telex, fax and etc now to Mobile phone, internet, E-mails, MSN Chat, YM Chat, SMS and etc... Just imagine even child next door also SMS... What freak people we had here..!!! Soon all will become robot... No human touch at all....

Hi all...
Please remembered that not everyone owned computer or XBox... So if this kids playing at playground... Let them be... Let them had the fun after long hard day of studying... Study can be stressful at time... Give them chance lah...
SO PLEASE DON'T COMPLAINT OR FEEDBACK UNNECESSARILY...
