#Article: People On Plane Were Helpless About The Meltdown Of Boy With Autism. Then Woman Gave Him Her Hand

After a three-hour delay of the flight, exhausted passengers were finally on the plane ready to sit for another 8 hours in their seats. However, as the aircraft began moving an 8-year-old boy with Autism had a breakdown. He was crying non-stop. And though the passengers tried hard not to pay attention to it, their tiredness and stress coupled with the child’s tears made it almost unbearable to stay calm.

After some horrible 15 minutes, Rochel Groner came up to the boy and reached out her hand to him. Surprising, the child accepted the gesture. The woman took him to the bulkhead, where they spent several hours together. The boy kept quiet and was seemingly content with where he was.

This wasn’t the first person with Autism in Rochel’s life, and it surely wasn’t the last one. She just knew how to handle this situation. Her husband wrote about this and it went viral. He finished his post with an important idea: “if we just offer our hand in love and acceptance, miracles will follow.”
