Community Service

Ever since last night incident (MAEC Meeting). I don't feel like continuing my community service especially with those people around. 

But when I reach home, I received 2 letters from PA (Peoples Association), the letters indicate that I was selected to be the members of Feedback Unit. This meant I have to attend every dialogue sessions and even need to follow up on current home affairs. 

Well with the present of this letter, I realised something, if I'm not active with MAEC I can still be with the Feedback Unit. 

Next I received another SMS from MAEC coordinator who requires me to give her a return call immediately. The SMS indicate that I should not listen to others but to check with her first. What am I supposed to check about when things happen right in front of me. What next? Without hesitation, I called PA Ms Pearl Lee to update the situation. She advised to just ignore the matter but requested to proceed with the Treasury Report so that I can present it during the CCMC meeting.

Just when I'm in need of someone to talk to, Dr. K A came to the rescue. He gave me a surprise call. Thank you Dr. K A for another enlightenment and encouragement.

Back to Community Service

It is my first time attending the MAEC meeting after a long leave. I absent with apology with valid reason. I did not know there are changes in the main committee. I was shocked to hear that I was no longer the Treasurer for the sub-committee. Isn't they should, at least, have the courtesy to inform me? I felt been left out and hurt. I was given another surprised that I was sloppy. Oh, Allah Almighty what had happened during my absence.

After the meeting, I highlighted to PA Pearl Lee. She mentions she too was not aware of the changes. But she senses something fishy cause another member Ms. Sharlynn also had asked her for the Treasurer report earlier.

According to newly appointed Secretary, Ms.  Marlia, claimed that actually there was a report done until March, but the file had gone missing. I even raised this to PA Ms. Pearl Lee again she claimed she was not aware of the situation.

PA Ms. Pearl Lee then suggested me to proceed to do the report since it was reported missing. I should get the report ready early so that I can present it during CCMC meeting.  I regret turning back and attending today MAEC meeting.

Movie In the Park

MOVIE IN THE PARK @ MARINA PARK
The company organized movies in the park at  Marina. It is an open air concept like old kampung days where everyone regardless race, age or religion together watch the movies. I tag both Shidah and her boyfriend, Fendi to join us watching the movies in the park. It had been a long time since I last watch a movie at the theater. Each tends I went to the theater I will fall asleep. That is why my friends hate to tag me along. Cause they will hear snoring and has to keep me awake instead of them enjoying watching the movie.

I met Shidah and her boyfriend, Fendi at the Marina Bay MRT station. Oh gosh, she has gained so much weight and I kept teasing both of them.
At the park, I met Cik Jah & family, Kak Sarina (JRTC) & family, Syimah & son, Julia & family, Kak Ros & family, Mas & Co., Kak Liz & friends, Emran, Foong Yee, Lawrence, Kak Su & daughter, Aslina & family, Felinda & Co., Kenneth & Co, Lynn & boyfriend, Abdul Halib (Lili) and the list can go on and on.

I exchange numbers with both Lynn and her boyfriend. His boyfriend is my long lost friend and also used to be my ex. Such a small world.

The Shrek 2 is  interesting. I think I will get the VCD instead and watch it with mum. My mum loves cartoons. I didn't pay attention to the lovey dovey movie, Love Actually.

Most importantly I have a great time and the weekend was well spent.

Meeting with CEO...

It is my off day and I will be late for the promotes ceremony. I have fought my laziness and force myself to work. Beside myself from Contact Centre, I am glad to see familiar faces get promoted too. They are Aunty Nirmal, Lawrence Quek, Uncle Nasoordin (NMH), Uncle Sheikh Arzimi (SAA), Uncle Ramsani (RAM), Uncle Chong (FamiCare) and few more. The CEO requesting the HODs to give the promotes a treat. It is not always we get the treat from Senior Management.

Certainly, my AMD Mr. Peter Leong gave the engineering team a treat at the Jump Start. After the session, I went home straight to catch my lost sleep.

Bulan Bahasa 2004 - Nilai Bahasaku

It has been a long day for me cause immediately after work I had to rush to the Bishan CC to attend the bi-annual event to promote the Malay Language, especially among the youngsters. However only the beginning of the show is interesting, other than that it was sucks. That was not the initial plan. Since the project has been handed to someone to run it. This event certainly need to be improved for the next season.

I was the Emcee for the day and subsequently I become bored with the event.  I still have to put up a smile even though it was bored to death.

I was on six months leave from the meeting and everyone asking where I have been hiding. I just reply that I was held back due to work commitment. They remember me as I an Emcee rather than the MAEC team. Even RC Zone 6 Chairman asked me personally if I could help up with their event. My reply was certainly, at no cost. However, subject to my availability since I work on shifts.

#WeddingAffair: Congrats Fahmi & Fazilah

It's my close cousin Fahmi's wedding. Today I am in another Punjabi suit. As usual, the same questions will raise as why I like to be different.  I just smiled and enjoyed the food. Hey Mr. DJ you look very familiar. I keep looking at the DJ wondering if it is someone that I knew. After much of staring, it is confirmed he is someone who I know. He is no other DJ Arjuna aka Ah Mui aka Muhed.

I had a great time not because he was my friend. This event helps me to mingle with other relatives and cousins. To see their smiles and laughter makes me a happier person.
