#National Day: National Day Observation at Bishan CC

***** HAPPY 39TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE ******

I wake up early to went to Bishan CC for the National Day Observance. Wearing in a red t-shirt from Hang Ten, "Singapore I Love You..." (That was printed on the T-shirt).

I take a ride to Bishan MRT station, then heading to McDonalds for breakfast. Approximately at 08.35am, I walk towards the CC for the celebration. I thought I was late. When I arrive, I cannot see my other committee members in the queue. Just then later, I saw my chairman and the rest of the committee members. We then have to wait for the arrival of the MP, Minister for Home Affairs, Mr Wong Kan Seng.

WE had fun singing and dancing the national day songs. There is even Channel News Asia around to take the pictures and videos of us. Then we had to sing the national day songs together with the MP both Lia and I suggest that we will sing and dance since we are standing right in front of the camera.

I think d children from PCF and those on stage got inspired by the two of us craziness... as we are enjoying ourselves. Guess what the CNA cameras are on us. Late afternoon, I when to the stadium to watch the parade, NDP 2004.

I hope next year I able to return to watch the parade. End of the parade we (nation as a whole) was touched as there was clips tribute to the PM Goh Chok Tong. Well just hope the next Prime Minister Mr. Lee Hsien Loong will able to bring Singapore to the top....

Farewell Mr GOH and Welcome Mr LEE...

#National Day: We Will Get There

We Will Get There
Music & Lyrics: Dick Lee

Remember the days, we set out together with faith?
Remember the times, so fine, when we thought that
Nothing could stand in our way?

Then things weren't the same, the life that we knew had to change
We've struggled through, the darkest storms
We thought we couldn't tame

Together we've tried, as we stood side by side
I knew we'd build a new world
A world of hope for ever after.

Chorus:
Deep in my heart I just know,
Right from the start, we will grow
Look where we are, we've come so far
And there's still a long, long way to go.

With all of my heart, I will care
I'll play my part, I will share
With family and friends, together we'll stand
And in the end, hand in hand
We will get there

So now we begin, working together to win
Believing in trust, it must
Be possible to overcome anything.

There's so much to do, there's so much we can contribute
By sharing just a little love
We will start again anew

So why don't we try? If we stand side by side
I know we'll build a new world
A world of hope for ever after.

Project Kesinambungan Realiti Melayu Baru

It has been a long day for me. I am mentally and physically exhausted with work. Despite all those, there was an interesting incident happens. Today, sis Liz gave me a lift to Toa Payoh. However, just before a turn to Expressway smoke coming out from the boot. Both of us are panic. I suggest her to park aside and check. Most probably the water is empty. She used up her 2 large bottles of mineral water, but still insufficient.

I then try to look out at the nearby block if any of the common taps is open for me to refill the bottles. Thank you Allah Almighty, you gave us the light. We found one of the common tap is still on. We filled the empty bottles and refilled the car water tank. Soon, it was good to go. This time, sis Liz send me all the way to Bishan CC since I have helped her out and I'm late for the meeting.

Initially, I thought I was late for the meeting, but I was early. Since I was early, I get the Karaoke file, to make copies of those for my Treasury Report. The meeting commences at 8.00pm chaired by Mr. Khamin for his upcoming project, Sayembara Gamelan 2004.

During the meeting, I was given a surprise when he wanted me to  be the Emcee for the event. I declined the offer as I unable to commit due to work commitment. He insisted me to take up the role as he wanted me to practice my Emcee. He asked, why must you waste your talent?

Nevertheless, I accepted their proposal but advised them to get a standby just in case I unable to make it since leave request for the month was froze.

Thank you Mr Khamin for the trust.
