SPEAKING WITH CONFIDENT

Venue: United PREMAS Training College



I was send by management to attend 02 days course at UP Training College. Well I grabbed the opportunity cause it allowed me to be away from Operation Room... ha ha ha.. However, there are staff wondering why I was send to such course.


The objective of the courses are as follows:
  • Understand how communication impacts relationships with others, work and social life
  • identify the common causes of misunderstanding
  • Understand the different behavioural styles and how to enhance their personal style of commnuication
  • Identify a range of verbal and non-verbal factors which impacs communication positively and negatively
  • Develop listening skills for better understanding
  • Develop the competence to communicate clearly and effectively

#PCC: Lesson From Tan Seow Kee .....

It is sad to see a low profile leader who never fail to show guidance, motivate and support the staff to excel their goals leave the company. Director Tan Seow Kee was the heartbeat of our contact centre. With his 16 years of experienced, had gain respects, loyalty from clients. He built good rapport with clients and staff. Most of the senior staff who had together fight with him to sustain contracts felt the loss. We can never get another replacement just like you, Seow Kee. However the WMT (Work Management Team) wished you success in your business and all the best for your future endeavor.

Lessons from Tan Seow Kee
T - stands for Trusting that all of us eventually deserves what we get in life. Trust is also what he has given to us in making the right decisions for staff, department & company and his unwavering support.
A-  is for having the right attitude. Having the right attitude is so much more valuable than all the worldly qualifications you may have.
N - Nice. Yes, it is o.k. to be nice - this is something so many of us forget.

S - stands for "Self" and Ego. Many a time, we are so concerned with our self image & ego , in wanting to be right, that we forget about the other persons feeling and create unnecessary hurt
E - is for Encouragement. All of us needs this every once in a while
O - I remember Seow Kee taking ownership when a task assigned to a staff was not done. This is to protect the innocent and is a mark of a True Leader
W - is the Wisdom, knowing when to win and when to quit.

K - stands for Kindness that he has shown to us whenever we are down and feel depressed. K also stands for Karma, a believe in the knowledge that what goes around comes around
E - is for Empathy. The willingness to always listen to the other side of the story and stands in the person's shoes
E - stands for Enthusiasm, knowing that once the Enthusiasm is gone, it is good to move on
