Today, I stay late at the office to complete my backlog. It is also a day, I will never ever forget. It’s the day when I lost a friend and colleague. My team and I were shocked to receive that one of our colleague may have met with an accident.
Without hesitation, we called SCDF, Traffic Police and even NUH for confirmation. The news we received, shocked the whole HELPDESK TEAM. When Ritzwan announce via walkie to confirm that our dear colleague MOHD JAMALUDIN BIN SAMSUDIN passed away due to earlier accident.
Both Wirzianty and I broke to tears when received the news. When OE Rosnah, saw me wiping my eyes, she gave me a hug. There it goes, my tears drop like a fountain.
Later at 8pm, OE Rosnah, SE Frankie, OE Nurashikin, Siti Safuhah and myself headed to NUH A & E. There, we met his family who are still in distraught. Looking at him lying motionless make my heart aches.
It reminded me of the promise, I made to him few days ago, “I promised, I will meet up with you someday but I don't know when.”
YES, I still kept my promised by meeting up with him where he lying there motionless. That was my first and last time seeing him. My eyes still filled with tears. If only I can cry my heart out, but I can’t do it in the public. For those who saw me crying, will wonder.
I was there till he was pushed to mortuary around 10pm. Thank to both OE Rosnah and Safuhah for comforting me. Thanks SE Frankie for allowing me to take time off and join you guys to see him for the last time.
