#Newsflash: 1 dead, 16 injured in bus accident near Tuas Checkpoint
SINGAPORE – One person was killed and 16 others injured in an early morning bus accident on Feb 26 near the Tuas Checkpoint.
The crash took place at about 4.25am when a bus collided into a railing around Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
SCDF personnel found one dead body when they arrived at the scene at around 5am.
The 16 injured commuters were later sent to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and the National University Hospital.
The nationalities and the extent of the injuries of the commuters are currently unknown, and it is not clear if they were passengers on the bus.
TODAY has reached out the police for more information.
The accident brought traffic into Singapore to a standstill for two hours.
At around 5.20am, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) alerted motorists about the incident, saying in a Facebook post that buses and lorries were not able to enter the checkpoint at arrival.
At 6.05am, it said the heavy vehicle lane was blocked due to the accident and that buses and lorries were being diverted back to Malaysia.
In its third post, about an hour later, the ICA said traffic for arriving and departing cars and motorcycles was back to normal. However, the heavy vehicle lane remained closed.

#YouTube: Jinjing The Penguin - Swims 5000 Miles Every Year To Visit The Man Who Saved Him
This is a story about Jinjing the South American Magellanic Penguin, that swims 5,000 miles each year to be reunited with the man who saved his life.
The rescued Penguin was saved by João Pereira de Souza, a 73 year old part-time fisherman, who lives in an island village just outside Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Joao found the tiny penguin, at his local beach lying on rocks, it was covered in oil, could barely move and was close to death.
Joao cleaned the oil off the penguin's feathers and fed him a daily diet of fish to build his strength. He named the penguin Jin Jing.
Every year the Penguin leaves to the breeding grounds and then returns to Joao.

#Newsflash: From patrol policeman to royal bodyguard: How a Singaporean came to protect the Johor crown prince
JOHOR BAHRU: Almost every step the crown prince of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim takes outside his palace, Singaporean Mr Prem Singh strides close by.
Mr Singh is a towering figure – 1.87m tall – with bulging biceps and puffed pecs. Alongside the prince, he is ever-present but low profile.
He wears a stern expression, alert and focused. But he keeps a respectful distance to not interfere with the royal member’s interaction with foreign dignitaries, government official and the people of Johor.
For the last nine years, this 40-year-old who grew up in Hougang has become a key member of the security detail for one of Malaysia’s most influential figures.
During a recent interview with Channel NewsAsia, Mr Singh recalled how his professional journey started as a police officer with the Singapore Police Force during his national service.
After his basic training in 1999, Mr Singh was deployed to Hougang Neighbourhood Police Centre doing patrol duties and guarding rooms where accused criminals are charged.
The Singapore Polytechnic graduate enjoyed serving with the SPF, and signed on as a regular in 2001.
SERVING SENIOR SINGAPORE POLITICIANS
But soon after, Mr Singh felt his skills could be better served elsewhere, and he signed up to be part of the Police Security Command in 2005.
The unit is tasked with ensuring the personal safety of all of Singapore’s cabinet ministers and visiting foreign dignitaries.
After four months of intense training, he says he was deployed to protect a number of senior politicians.
Mr Singh said he was taught to be professional and disciplined, and this later made his job across the Causeway “much easier”.
But Mr Singh preferred to serve in a “one man operation” (OMO) and he was given a chance to escort foreign dignitaries, such as former US president Bill Clinton and former Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd when they visited Singapore.
It was during one of these duties when Mr Singh came across Tunku Ismail, who was attending a dinner event in Singapore.
After settling the crown prince’s security and seating arrangements for the event, Mr Singh was approached by Tunku Ismail’s personal aide who informed him that the crown prince wanted to hire him to be part of his security detail.
“It did not take much thought and I said yes. Who in their right mind would turn down such an offer? Escorting a member of the Johor royal family – and that member being the crown prince - is a dream for anybody,” said Mr Singh.
His decision was affirmed when he went for his interview, where Tunku Ismail greeted him in his Royal Johor Military Force uniform.
“It assured me I made the right choice. His aura surpasses anything I have come across thus far,” he said.
Since then, Mr Singh has become an important part of Tunku Ismail’s daily schedule.
He joins the crown prince for his daily morning workout, meetings with government officials and accompanies him when he works with his football club Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT).
Mr Singh has also accompanied Tunku Ismail on overseas trips to countries including Singapore, the United Kingdom, Argentina and Spain.
CROWN PRINCE 'STANDS IN THE LINE OF FIRE'
In a recent post on Facebook, Tunku Ismail cited how he, Mr Singh and Leftenan Kolonel Samsyawal Muhamad from the Malaysian Special Forces are able to work effectively together as a team.
He cited this as an example of how Singaporeans and Malaysians work well in the same organisation and expressed hope that both countries find a "win-win situation", as they continued to tussle in ongoing maritime and airspace disputes.
Mr Singh regards Tunku Ismail forthright manner as a show of courage, and this is something he can learn from his "role model".
"He speaks from his heart and sometimes this is very difficult for people to accept, but that’s the way he is. He stands in the line of fire when it comes to his dear ones, his family, his state and his people."
Work aside, Mr Singh explained how he has learned "valuable life lessons" from the prince, who has a military background with the 61st Calvary in India and the Johor Military Force.
"One lesson that he taught me has become an ethos I live by - that our greatest weapon in life is our attitude," said Mr Singh. "(Tunku Ismail) is very disciplined and expects the people around him to be the same. I have matured after working with him.
"He is not only my boss, but someone I look up to as a human being," said Mr Singh.
PROTECTING THE ROYAL FAMILY 'WITH MY LIFE'
Even though he is a Singaporean, Mr Singh considers it “an honour” to protect the crown prince and his family, but he acknowledges that his task is “no easy feat” and has little room for error.
His job scope includes protecting the lives of Tunku Ismail, his wife Che Puan Khaleeda as well as their two infant children Tunku Khalsom Aminah Sofiah and Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil Abu Bakar Ibrahim.
“I am sure a lot of people envy my job, but the responsibility is great. Now that (Tunku Ismail) has two children, my responsibilities have expanded. Ensuring their safety and security is also my duty.
"But that’s what I have sworn to do from the start. I am dedicated to protect the royal family of Johor with my life,” said Mr Singh.
Despite his preference of working individually, Mr Singh acknowledged that protecting the Johor royal family is a task that requires teamwork.
The crown prince’s security detail includes officers from the Johor Military Elite Forces, the Malaysian Commandos as well as the Malaysian police’s Special Operations Command.
“It is very interesting to work with these units to see how differently we function. But in the end we all have only one duty – to protect the crown prince of Johor and his family,” said Mr Singh.
Even with many years of experience, Mr Singh is open to learning from his Malaysian teammates.
“We all share our different working experience with each other and we learn from one another. There is an ethos I live by – ‘There is no perfect bodyguard. Every day is a learning lesson.’”

#Newsflash: North Korea's Kim Jong Un: I don't want my children to bear burden of nuclear arms
\HANOI (REUTERS) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un told the US Secretary of State he did not want his children to live with the burden of nuclear weapons, a former CIA officer involved in high-level diplomacy over the North's weapons was quoted as saying on Saturday (Feb 23).
Mr Kim made the rare personal comments to Mr Mike Pompeo during a visit to the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, in April last year to lay the groundwork for the historic first summit between the North's leader and US President Donald Trump in June in Singapore, former CIA official Andrew Kim said, South Korea's Yonhap news agency and the Wall Street Journal reported.
"'I'm a father and a husband. And I have children,'" Mr Andrew Kim quoted the North Korean leader as telling Mr Pompeo, when asked whether he was willing to end his nuclear programme.
"'And I don't want my children to carry the nuclear weapon on their back their whole life.' That was his answer," Mr Andrew Kim told a lecture on Friday at Stanford University's Asia Pacific Research Centre, where he is a visiting scholar.
Before he retired from the CIA, Mr Kim established the agency's Korea Mission Centre, in April 2017, and accompanied Mr Pompeo - who was then CIA director - to Pyongyang last year.
In their Singapore summit, Mr Kim and Mr Trump pledged to work towards peace between their countries and for the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.
But little progress has been made since then and they are set to meet again in Hanoi on Wednesday and Thursday.
They are expected to focus on what steps North Korea might take towards denuclearisation, in exchange for what US concession.
The former CIA officer said the North Korean leader expressed a strong desire to improve ties with the United States as a way to build confidence between them, which he said was needed to end the nuclear weapons programme.
The North Korean leader left Pyongyang by train for his visit to Vietnam on Saturday afternoon, Russia's TASS news agency reported on Saturday citing a North Korean diplomatic source.
North Korea's state media has yet to confirm either Mr Kim's trip to Vietnam or his summit with Mr Trump.

#Newsflash: HazMat team contains ammonia vapour leak in Ang Mo Kio, no injuries reported: SCDF
SINGAPORE - A HazMat team was deployed on Saturday evening (Feb 23) to contain an ammonia vapour leak in Ang Mo Kio.
In a Facebook post at about 10.20pm, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it responded to the incident at 7030 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 at about 8.20pm.
According to property site SRX, the address belongs to Northstar@AMK, a factory building.
SCDF found ammonia vapour being released from a leaked container with a malfunctioning valve on the sixth floor of the premises.
"Upon arrival, SCDF responders immediately performed vapour dispersion operations with a hosereel water spray to reduce the concentration of the released ammonia vapour," it said.
About 50 people were evacuated. No injuries were reported.
In an update posted before 11pm, SCDF said that its HazMat specialists have sealed the source of the leak, and that a water jet was used to decontaminate the affected area.
HazMat stands for hazardous materials.
HazMat detectors indicated that the ammonia vapour has completely dispersed, it added.
"The HazMat incident is confined within the premises," SCDF had said earlier.
"As a safety precautionary measure, all individuals were evacuated from the sixth floor of the premises."
A photo posted by SCDF on Facebook shows at least three officers wearing red full-body suits, gas masks and helmets handling a large, white canister.
A second photo shows SCDF vehicles at the scene.
Last January, The Straits Times reported that four people had to be taken to hospital after an ammonia leak at a food factory in Jurong. About 100 workers from the premises had to be evacuated.

#Newsflash: Johor royal family’s Singapore ancestral property inspired ‘Crazy Rich Asian’, says report
JOHOR BARU, Feb 21 — The palatial property that inspired writer Kevin Kwan's Crazy Rich Asian books is owned by the Johor royal family, Bloomberg reported today.
Known as Istana Woodneuk, it is an abandoned two-storey palace at the former Tyersall Park bound by Holland Road and Tyersall Avenue near the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Bloomberg reported that according to one estimate, the property would be valued at a whopping US$3.5 billion (RM13.85 billion) if sold for development, making it one of Singapore’s most expensive real estate plots.
The report pointed out that the property is registered under the Johor Crown Prince, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.
The property, ravaged by fire and decay, are the ruins of Istana Woodneuk, the palace built by his ancestors in the late 19th century.
The plot owned by the Johor Royal Family was once larger, but has gradually reduced as the Singapore government acquired land to extend the Botanic Gardens, a Unesco World Heritage site.
In 1990, the Singapore government bought part of the land for S$25 million (RM75.3 million) and in 2009 another 98,000 sq metre for an undisclosed sum.
In Kwan’s book about Asia’s insanely rich, which became a hit movie last year, the fictitious Young family lived in a sprawling ancestral home, set within Singapore’s Tyersall Park.
Tyersall Park was first mentioned in the first novel in 2013 and the 210,875 sq metre estate later become a major plot point in Kwan's third and final novel in the trilogy, Rich People Problems in 2017.
The Bloomberg report also mentioned that Tunku Ismail, despite being the registered owner, won’t be able to cash in on his Singapore land any time soon, even if he wanted to.
“The undeveloped area is zoned for “special use of green space,” meaning development for other purposes, such as residential or commercial, is restricted.
“Were that to change — the land does sit in one of Singapore’s most desirable residential districts — it could be worth at least S$4.7 billion (RM14.1 billion) according to a calculation by Alan Cheong, a senior director at brokerage Savills Plc,” said the report, adding that the most expensive residence to change hands in Singapore over the past year was luxury landed houses also near the Botanic Gardens.

#Newsflash: New moon found in our solar system as scientists unveil ‘Hippocamp’ floating around Neptune
Scientists have found an entirely new moon in our own solar system – and it had been hiding in plain sight.
The new object, named Hippocamp, has been discovered floating around Neptune. It is the planet's smallest moon, and behaves very strangely, in ways that could shed light on how it first formed.
Hippocamp had already been captured in previous images of the nearby planet. But astronomers' technical abilities were not enough to actually spot it, and only now has the tiny world actually been noticed and catalogued.
When the Voyager 2 spacecraft flew past Neptune in 1989, it spotted six small inner moons orbiting the planet. Each of them is very small, and much younger than Neptune, probably having formed soon after the planet's largest moon called Triton arrived.
But new research shows that there had been another, unnoticed and tiny, moon floating near the planet. That takes the total number of moons around Neptune to 14 and sheds new light on the huge planet.
The breakthrough new discovery used the latest highly technical image processing techniques and images from Nasa's Hubble Space Telescope, allowing astronomers to see the inner moons despite the rapid speed at which they hurtle around Neptune. When the first picture was taken that included Hippocamp in it, in 2004, scientists lacked the ability to spot such a tiny object that was moving so quickly.
The new moon is named Hippocamp, after the sea creature in Greek mythology. Its tiny size makes it the smallest of Neptune's collection of moons, and it is only about 34 kilometres across.
The moon orbits close to Proteus, the biggest and furthest out of those inner moons. Astronomers say it is likely that Hippocamp was formed when fragments came off that bigger object when it was hit by a big comet.
They say it can't be ruled out that Hippocamp was formed where it is now and has no connection to Proteus. But its tiny size and strange location suggests that it formed in a collision, helping shed light on how the rest of the Neptune system formed.
"Proteus sports an unusually large crater called Pharos — a telltale sign that the moon might have barely escaped destruction by impact," writes astronomer Anne J. Verbiscer in an article commenting on the discovery." Whenever this impact occurred, it no doubt launched debris into orbit around Neptune."
One of those splintered pieces of debris could have become the new moon, the authors say.
The discovery could also help illuminate how other moons were formed, the authors say. If Hippocamp was formed in such a collision, then it is likely that the others were shMSN News aped by impacts with comets.
As well as the discovery of Hippocamp, the new research published in Nature also gives new detail on other moons such as Naiad, the innermost moon that has not been seen since 1989. The astronomers also give new data including size and orbit estimates of all the inner moons for the first time.
The same technique might lead to even more discoveries. Similar work already helped find an object in the distance reaches of the solar system, and might one day find other moons around larger planets – or even whole planets orbiting distant stars.

#Newsflash: GST Singapore – How the GST Changes from Singapore Budget 2019 Affect You
One of the “lowlights” of Singapore Budget 2019 (and 2018 too, come to think of it) is the much-dreaded GST increase, together with the tightening limits for GST relief. Like a pair of pincers, the two GST changes work in tandem to trap us cheapo Singaporeans trying to save a few bucks. Not only will you have to pay more GST domestically, there’s also no way to escape rising taxes by shopping in JB or Batam, or buying cheap booze at DFS. I’m just kidding lah, please don’t flag me on the SGSecure app and put me in jail for sedition. As a bleeding-heart liberal with a big soft spot for old people, I’m perfectly happy to pay more for my organic kale and aerial yoga classes, as long as my money goes to making life cheaper for lower-income and ageing Singaporeans. Nonetheless, we should all stay on top of the latest GST changes in Singapore because they have very real repercussions on our spending and travelling behaviour.

#Newsflash: Black snow falls in Siberia
Black snow has been spotted in a coal mining region in Russia.
The Kemerovo area in southwest Siberia has undergone a gothic makeover, with videos and photos shared on social media showing jet-black flakes transforming the landscape.
While the phenomenon may look eerily beautiful, it’s indicative of a coal mining industry that has very little in the way of regulation, according to environmental protesters.
“It’s harder to find white snow than black snow during the winter,” Vladimir Slivyak, a member of the Ecodefense environmental group, told The Guardian.
“There is a lot of coal dust in the air all the time. When snow falls, it just becomes visible. You can’t see it the rest of the year, but it is still there.”
There are multiple open coal pits in the Kuznetsk Basin, the epicentre of Russia’s coal industry, and activists claim the pollution from them is impacting on locals’ health and wellbeing.
Life expectancy is three-four years lower for the region’s 2.6 million inhabitants compared to the national average, while rates of cancer, TB meningitis and child cerebral palsy are also higher.
Deputy governor of the Kuznetsk Basin Andrei Panov has said the region’s black snow could originate from coal-burning factories, vehicles and unspecified businesses.
The latest black flurries follow an incident in December when officials in Kemorovo were accused of painting snow white to conceal soot and ash.
Footage shared by the Moscow Times showed a woman’s hands coated in white paint after she touched a snow bank outside a municipal recreation centre in Mysky.
The head of the town apologised and ordered the paint’s removal in response to public outcry.

#Newsflash: Burning smell detected in northeast Singapore ‘likely’ related to Johor landfill fire: NEA
SINGAPORE: A burning smell detected in the northeast of Singapore over the last two days was likely related to a fire at a landfill in Johor, the National Environment Agency (NEA) said on Saturday (Feb 16). This is the second such incident in two weeks.
In response to queries from Channel NewsAsia, NEA said it received nine feedback cases between the evening of Feb 15 and 11pm on Feb 16 regarding the burning smell.
“Eight of the nine feedback cases were received after 6pm on Feb 16. During the last smell episode on Feb 8, NEA had received 31 feedback cases,” the agency said.
On Feb 8 and 9, a fire at the Bandar Tenggara landfill in Johor also resulted in a smoky smell in the eastern parts of Singapore.
NEA added that the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed that there was no major fire incident in the northeast of Singapore.
It said that the Department of Environment (DOE) Johor provided an update that while the fire at Bandar Tenggara in southeast Johor had been put out, there was another fire at the Tanjong Langsat landfill in Pasir Gudang.
“The prevailing winds have been blowing from the northeast, and this is expected to persist for the next few days. It is likely that the burning smell detected in the northeast of Singapore is related to this fire,” NEA said.
NEA said that as of 11pm on Saturday, the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) at the North, East and Central regions ranged from 42 to 48, in the “Good” range, while the 1-hr PM2.5 readings in those regions ranged between 6 to 12µg/m3 (Band I), which is in the “Normal” range.
“The ambient volatile organic compounds levels also continue to remain within safety limits. NEA will continue to monitor the air quality, and will provide updates should there be any change in the situation,” it added.
On Saturday, a Channel NewsAsia reader reported experiencing a burning smell in Punggol.
The reader, who only wanted to be identified as Mr Foo, said he also saw smoke coming from a source that lay northeast of Punggol.

#Newsflash: Singapore authorities repudiate Brochez’s claims about HIV leak, welcome him to return here
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has pushed back against the dramatic accusations made by Mikhy Farerra Brochez, the American man wanted by authorities for leaking the confidential information of 14,2000 HIV patients in Singapore.
Yesterday, the man broke his silence on social media, categorically denying everything that the Singapore government accused him of. Brochez went off the rails in a lengthy, rambling Facebook post, insisting that he is the victim of an elaborate conspiracy carried out by various Singaporean government agencies, officials and bodies.
The MOH simply brushed off his (pretty wild) declarations, affirming that the man is making allegations that he can’t back up with evidence.
“The matter has been thoroughly investigated by both the Ministry of Health and the Police,” noted MOH. The American had accused the government of arresting him and his Singaporean husband under false charges.
“Brochez was convicted in Court for fraud and various drug offenses.”
In his post, Brochez also argued that the HIV registry is simply a tool for the government to monitor and track gay men Singapore. This, of course, was denied by the MOH.
“The fact that there is such a registry is public knowledge and statistics on HIV infection rates from the HIV Registry are published annually,” asserted the MOH.
The ministry also acknowledged that Brochez has now threatened to release even more confidential data from the HIV registry. “…MOH will work with the Police to take appropriate actions.”
Then there’s the part where Brochez claimed that he was abused while in police custody and that he was “gang-raped” by inmates while in prison, where he contracted HIV. The Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Singapore Prison Service (SPS) had to issue a joint statement to repudiate his statements.
Following investigations by the SPF’s Internal Affairs Office, the allegations made by Brochez about being tortured while in custody were found to be untrue. Contradicting his claims, SPS noted that Brochez actually committed a “litany of institutional offenses”, including assaulting a fellow inmate.
“It is a matter of record that Brochez had contracted HIV, years before he was admitted into Prison in 2016,” the statement highlighted. In fact, Brochez had even declared that he was HIV positive since 2008 when he was admitted into prison.
“He has now made baseless allegations about the investigations as well as against Police and Prisons. His actions have shown him to be a pathological liar.”
“Nevertheless, we welcome him to come back to Singapore to assist with Police investigations.”

#Newsflash: Nurses suspended for recording, posting video of dying patient
Three nurses from the Tuburan District Hospital in Tuburan, Cebu have been suspended from their jobs for recording a video of a dying patient last Friday and posting it on social media, authorities said yesterday.
The video has gone viral as it shows the patient, 23-year-old Jimby Casas, lying on a stretcher bloodied and begging for help while hospital personnel who are not seen in the video watch and record him.
Netizens are criticizing the hospital and its staff for allegedly abandoning the patient.
The Commission on Human Rights in Central Visayas and the Cebu Provincial Health Office (PHO) are currently investigating the incident, The Freman reported.
Casas, a drug suspect, sustained gun wounds after allegedly fighting back authorities in a buy-bust operation at around 9:10pm last Friday, the same The Freeman report states.
According to Sun Star, he was shot in the face, cheek, chest, left arm, shoulder, and leg. Allegedly found in his possession were four sachets of suspected shabu (meth) and a .357 revolver.
The video of him in the Tuburan District Hospital was recorded by an unidentified nurse who sent it to fellow nurses who worked a different shift. These other nurses then posted the video on social media, PHO Chief Rene Catan told Sun Star.
Catan said that the hospital’s staff attended to the patient but stepped away from him when he became “restless,” Bombo Radyo, reported.
Tuburan District Hospital chief Dr. Esteban Ligaray had recommended Casas’ transfer to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City but he died before this was done.
He died at around 10:50pm, about an hour and 20 minutes after he was brought to the hospital, The Freeman wrote.
The PHO’s investigation on the incident will officially start on Monday, Catan said.
This article, Nurses suspended for recording, posting video of dying patient, originally appeared on Coconuts, Asia's leading alternative media company.

#Al-Islamiah: Jika Bermimpi 13 Hal Ini, Waspadalah & Segera Istighfar.
Silakan dishare, semoga bermanfaat. Aamiin

#Article: Job Role: Systems Analyst
![]() |
| Takeaway: Systems analysts can wear many hats, and they are vital to any modern firm. See what the role encompasses and how systems analysts keep businesses running. |
In the most basic sense, a systems analyst is a person who analyzes some workflow, process, operation or structured framework in order to optimize it for some purpose. You can see this from boilerplate definitions on your favorite reference sites. But what does that mean?
We’ll be looking specifically at what systems analysts do in the IT world – not just in any given industry.
In general, systems analysts have kind of a dual role. They work with processes and interfaces – and they also work with people. We’ll explain how both of these ideas work together.
The Interface Guru
Since systems analysts are responsible for optimizing systems, it stands to reason that one of their major responsibilities will be to evaluate an interface.
Interfaces are the lifeblood of business IT (or personal IT for that matter). A good interface will enable functionality and ease of use. A bad interface will cause confusion, sink productivity and create bottlenecks.
Enter the systems analyst.
“A systems analyst investigates the ways in which business is done within a company,” says Drew Farnsworth, Partner at Green Lane Design LLC. “They create a system flow diagram to identify bottlenecks and constraints, then optimize that flow to remove those bottlenecks within the constraints. Usually they then take that analysis and attempt to find software that will improve the business. They may be responsible for cost analysis as well. System analysts suggest process flows that have nothing to do with IT but usually the purview is limited to IT.”
“(A) system analyst analyzes the effectivity of the computer system in order to provide the optimum output for the specific benefits of the organization,” adds Andrei Vasilescu, CEO and digital marketing expert of a money-saving platform called DontPayFull. “This person also finds out the possible flaws of the computer system which might prevent getting the maxim positive results from the computer system. Therefore, a system analyst provides a vital and active help in achieving the targets for any business.”
Nooria Khan at GigWorker had more to say about how systems analysts combine their interface work with collaboration with stakeholders.
“System analysts have a broad knowledge of programming, software, hardware and have analytical skills,” Khan says. “Their role is to maintain and troubleshoot the data center or data warehouse. They use the computer systems to modify, enhance, adapt and design IT solutions in their existing systems, also integrate new features or improvements if required. During the entire development process, a system analyst makes sure to work closely with the client, stakeholders, colleagues, and developer.”
Building a Bridge
Because of those two goals that we referenced above, the systems analyst has to have one foot in the technical world and the other foot in the business world.
“(Systems analysts) need to have both business experience and technical design exposure in order to bridge the gap between the user’s non-technical requirements and the hardware and software that is required to create a solution,” says Neil Price-Jones, President of NVP Software Solutions. “The work they do feeds into programming and Quality Assurance, so the system can be created and tested to ensure it does provide what the user wants.”
“A system analyst is a liaison that works with business analysts to truly understand the requirements of a system to be created, and then opines on the system to be created,” says Nick Kamboj, CEO at Aston & James. “This opinion and feedback can come through a series of questions, comparative analysis, design specification documents, requirements specifications and/or spreadsheets.”
“The Systems Analyst performs two primary roles within the organization,” Bittner says. “In one aspect they serve as a change agent that leads the organization down new technological avenues in order to advance the goals of the organization. The other is to serve as a liaison between the business side of the organization and the technical side. Because this person functions amongst these two worlds, the terms Computer Systems Analyst or Business Systems Analyst are also used interchangeably as a job title. Communication skills are critical because the Systems Analyst serves as an interpreter and collaborator between business and IT so that business goals can be translated into technology requirements.” (For more on communication skills, see The Importance of Communication Skills for Technical Professionals.)
That’s a little bit about what systems analysts do and are responsible for in their professional roles. At the end of the day, these gatekeepers of IT need to make sure a business has what it needs to perfect processes and excel in its markets. And that’s a tall order.

#Newsflash: Face it, Hong Kong: with our worsening quality of life and declining freedoms, Singapore is Asia's world city
We're fresh into the Year of the Pig, so let's be nice to everyone. But being nice doesn’t mean truth-telling is off-limits. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.
That’s exactly what I’m going to do with some hard truths that we, as Hongkongers, must face. One such hard fact hit us just a week ago as the city readied for the Lunar New Year.
An international survey showed Hong Kong sliding 12 places to an embarrassing 41 as a liveable city for Asian expats, our worst ranking in a decade. We call ourselves Asia’s world city but Asians have given us the thumbs down as a liveable city. That’s a paradox that should shame us.
It was 20 years ago that former chief executive Tung Chee-hwa branded Hong Kong as Asia’s world city in his annual policy speech, putting it on a par with New York and London.
Tung claimed the crown based on promises to make Hong Kong great. The ones that stood out when I reread them were commitments to maintaining the rule of law, freedom of expression and association, the free flow of information and openness and diversity, as well as the commitment to enhancing quality of life.
I believe the rule of law is still intact even though the Heritage Foundation, which consistently ranks us as the world’s freest economy, warned in its latest report that Beijing is now meddling in our judicial independence. But freedom of expression and association? The free flow of information? Surely, they now ring hollow.
Hongkongers no longer have the freedom to peacefully support independence or self-determination. A prison cell awaits those who do, as it soon will for those who mock the national anthem.
A noose is strangling Hong Kong freedoms and our leaders should admit it
People cannot associate with the localist Hong Kong National Party, which the government has banned. The media exercises the free flow of information with great caution nowadays, fearing repercussions if it talks to independence advocates.
Openness died when the Foreign Correspondents’ Club came under relentless attack by the government and Beijing for hosting a lunch speech by the convenor of the National Party.
I have said before I flatly reject Hong Kong independence. But I see no real harm in a tiny group of delusional people with no public support peacefully advocating the merits – there aren’t any – of it.
Enhancing the quality of life? Ask any Hongkonger and most will tell you it sucks. In the 20 years since Tung’s promise, ordinary Hongkongers have been priced out of the homes market. Those who can afford it must pay big bucks for flats barely the size of a parking space.
In housing crisis, don’t rely on home ownership to instil sense of belonging
Air pollution has worsened, hospitals overflow to the breaking point every flu season, waiting time for public housing is over five years and more than 200,000 people live in subdivided homes.
Last year, 65 million tourists flooded Hong Kong. That’s only about 10 million fewer than for the whole of the United States. Almost 80 per cent who came were mainlanders, most of them day trippers who swarmed residential areas to buy groceries, ruining the quality of life for locals.
How can life quality improve if you add the four million mainlanders who come monthly, on average, effectively raising Hong Kong’s population to well over 11 million?
Hong Kong gets the crowds it wants from its mega bridge. Oops
The liveability survey partly blamed last year’s Typhoon Mangkhut for our dismal ranking, not because it struck but for the appalling way we handled its aftermath. Five months after the typhoon, the waterfront park near where I live is still being repaired.
We were once a city with good governance that motivated people to achieve the Hong Kong dream. That city has long passed its prime.
Singapore has been ranked first for 17 years running as the most liveable city. It beats us in most other surveys and comes a close second in the Heritage survey. Yet we still call ourselves Asia’s world city. What a joke. That title rightfully belongs to Singapore. It’s a hard truth we must admit.

#Article: Scientists Proved Muhammad PBUH’s Night Journey Scientifically
Night Journey by Muhammad PBUH is a famous event in Islamic History and now Western scientists have proved this event and believe in it.
Isra and Miraj is also known as The Night Journey which we have discussed in our blog post if you want to get into details you might want to read it.
That is why Islam is the fastest spread religion throughout the world. And Most people who accept Islam are the most educated people.
Such people spend a lot of money to keep the Muslims first and then and to keep people ignorant Our bad luck is that such forces do not have to work hard to impose the ignorant leader over Muslims.
In a couple of refrains, the Qur’an portrays what present-day science has found out about dark openings up until now: they are limited, pipe molded, and can’t be watched specifically. The Qur’an makes things one stride advance by affirming they likewise go about as an entry to another universe. Watch to discover what science needs to say in regards to that.
Allah blesses the Muslims to be blessed.
