3D 2N GETAWAY TRIP TO PARADISE ISLAND

DAY 1 – 25 MARCH 2006

I was away from the office since 25 March and will only resumed duty on the 01 April. As usual I went for my annual trip to distress myself. It was a short getaway to Paradise Island. It was 55 minutes away from Singapore.

I took a cab to TMFT (Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal). I received called from friends. As I was busy talking, I took out both my passport and an envelope consist of my ferry ticket slip, hotel slip and booking voucher. My intention was to place the ferry ticket slip to the passport. When reaching, I dumped everything to my bag. Without realizing, I left the passport at the rear seat of the car.

I happily alighted from the cab and proceeding to counter TC 5 for my boarding pass. When asked for passport, I searched everywhere but to no avail. I was sad, panic and about to cry too. Well, I dialed the taxi booking hotline to report the loss. However, before I could spoke to any of the telephone operator, I saw the taxi driver stepped in and waved my passport. No words could described, how thankful I am to the driver. He even wished me a pleasant journey. Without hesitation, I checked in and waited at the Departure Hall.

Around 10.45am we are allowed to board the ferry… Hey it was a long jetty. Gosh I felt dizzy at the moment I was about to board the ferry. When on the board. even worst cause I’m feeling nausea. I found a place by the window. Around 11.05am the ferry disembarked to Paradise Island.

It was my first tripped ever to Bintan. I will be checked-in at Nirwana Garden Resort. There the hotel representative will fetched us to the hotel. On our arrival, the hotel guests were welcomed with dance and drums.

After registering at the reception counter, I waited at the waiting area near Asmara Warung. While waiting for the room availability, I guess I saw a group of S-League Soccer Players. Hey they are having training there too. Hey I took this opportunity to say hi and smile at them.The Staff informed, the soonest I will get a room was between 2pm-3pm. I penned down the event to my organizer. While I busy scribbling, I turned around and found someone familiar. It was my former Service Manager Mr K C Hon and Admin Asst Winnie Teng. They were on biz tripped instead. It had been long time since we last met. I took this opportunity to exchange numbers and email address.

After long wait around 4.30pm (Singapore Time), I managed to get a room. Since there is no room available as per my request. I was given superior deluxe instead.

Posing all the way in the bedroom till I'm tired. Took a long hot bath and fell asleep. The moment I woke up, everywhere was in darkness. I guess I'm too tired cos woke up quite early, as afraid I may missed my ferry.

DAY 2 - 26 MARCH 2006

Hey today I woke up as early as 5.30am (Singapore Time). This is because my eyes will automatically open at that time, since I've been working morning most of the times. Took a long hot bath, set ready then again I opened the sliding door to wish good morning. Guess what, I was shocked to see it was pitched dark and no one around... Isn't it already 6.30am... Just then I realizes that 6.30am (Singapore Time), will be 5.30am (Indonesia Time). I turned on the TV while waiting for the sunrise... Later I heard birds chirping, well times to watch the sunrise...

Weather Forecast kept changing... Since I'm alone along the beach, its better for me to go back to the room before heavy downpour. Thru enough, the moment I reached my room it rain heavily with thunders and lightnings non-stop. Quite scary man. My mind was thinking what will happened it TSUNAMI took place. I went to COFFEESHOP Restaurant for Buffet Breakfast. The waitress find me a seat facing the sea. Goodness, every second my eyes was at sea to watch the waves... Am I such a freak...?!?!?!

Tired of posing, I fell asleep... Guess what I dreamt, TSUNAMI took place at Bintan Island... When I woke up it still thunderstorm. I did not looked out at the window to watch the sea. Only GOD know how terrified, I am at the moment.


DAY 3 - 27 MARCH 2006Hey, why is it so cold?!?!? I pulled my blanket and continued my sleep.... Cuckkoooo... Cucckkkoooo... My alarm ringing... 7.30am Indonesia time. Streched myself and open the sliding door.... Oohhh its raining heavily again... Then took a long hot bath.... Then I set ready to go to Coffee Shop Restaurant for breakfast buffet... I love butterscotch bread... Yummm... Yummm....I am enjoying the food to the fullest.... mmmmm..... After breakfast, I went to back to the room to pack my things and soon fell asleep again...

Nirwana Garden served from local cuisine to International Cuisine for breakfast. Breakfast are served from 6am-10am. Sorry I did not take most of the food, cause ppl may think I'm camera freako.... I loved their pastries. I'm njoying the breakfast from 7.30am-9.30am... mmmmmmm.... mmmm.... If you think I'm lying... drop by to Nirwana Garden and experienced it yourself.

When I woke up, I wrote a thank you note to the Resort Manager. Then drag myself out of the room around 11.45am to the reception counter to check-out. Well need to wait for the 1.30pm bus to transport me to the Ferry Terminal. I placed my bag at the concierge and I continue to take more pictures. Hey the Singapore S-League team also check-out on the same day and their ferry departure time same as me.... He He He... Hey I can't wait further to be back home. Perhaps, I missed mom a lot. He He He... Finally I touched TMFT. I don't know why I'm feeling sick. I walked even faster from the jetty to immigration counter. At times I felt that I'm gonna faint. Why?!?!? Sea sick?!?! Nah... Definitely not... I don't know why... OMG what a long queue... Everyone was waiting for a cab... This is terrible. Most of them dial for a cab cause can't wait any longer. Well, I received call from friends enQuire how is my trip. Wonder how they know I already touched down to Singapore... MMmmmm... mmmmmm.....
