Days at TTSH

DAYS AT TTSH

Lately, I had been busy running up and down to TTSH since my dad admission. Dad was supposed to undergo bypass operation since one of the vascular blood vessel supplied to the left leg was blocked. These resulted insufficient blood flow through and this lead to pain and numbness to his leg.

I received call from TTSH  to advise my to advise my dad accordingly. When I arrived, dad seek for second opinion. I told him to look in the long run, and I am not going to force him if he refused to go through the surgery. I gave him a heads up that if he refused to go through the operation, chances of his leg be amputated was high.

After much thought, he finally decided to go for the ops. Thank goodness I able to talk sense to him. I know it was not an easy decision for dad to agree with the surgery. Since the surgery was postponed, I returned to office to complete my paperwork and returned ot the hospital again.

When I reached home, I did not see mum. I thought she was either with my 2nd or 3rd sister. To my surprise to find out she was still at the hospital. I took my shower, changed and then took a cab to TTSH. I accompanied mom till 7am. Then later at 2pm went back to TTSH.

Around 4.30pm dad was pushed to CCU (High Dependency Care) at Ward 6C bed 46. Seeing him with lot of tubes, make me sad. But its for his own good. I managed to speak to one of the doctor. As informed, the operation was a successful one. With hope there no further complication. I do understand the pain my dad go through.

Well dad, wishing you speedy recovery....!!!! I don't know if I should post the pictures here.... My heart aches deeply to see my dad undergo such pain.
