Today I learnt that mum's neighbour had lymphoma and had gone through chemotherapy. She now develop water retention on both legs and arms. Doctor diagnose could be due to kidney failure.
The patient's daughter share with me about her mum condition. I also shared with her what I know about kidney. I even advised her to check with doctor if there is protein in urine. Should it be this usually involved more serious kidney problem. It is advisable to go for dialysis before kidney completely not functioning.
Mum was schedule to go for insertion dialysis line at 4.00pm and only back to ward approximately at 7.30pm. After the procedure, mum oxygen level was low and inconsistent. Doctors kept asking if she has breathlessness, pain, giddy and etc. Mum reply was everything fine except headache. They are worried about her condition, she tentatively need oxygen support and bed rest. She was not allowed to walk even to the toilet and has to wear diaper.
Due to her condition, I decided to stay overnight and keep mum company.
