#Newsflash: The State Funeral of Our First Prime Minister Mr Lee Kuan Yew

Today, Singaporeans will bid a final farewell to our founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew who passed away on Monday morning.

Heavy downpour does not stop Singaporeans to continue stand along the roadside together with national flag bid farewell to our founding father. If anyone could recall, it was heavy rain too on the nation's first National Day Parade at the Padang. We are united as ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, and ONE SINGAPORE.

“Mr Lee, you will always be remembered and live in our heart. Please continue to watch us from far. Thank you Mr Lee for all you have done for us (Singaporeans).

Tears rolled down my cheeks during the one minute of silence. The sound from the bugle and the siren from SCDF reminded me of the days when Singapore free from Japanese invasion (World War II). I may not experience the hard time but I always watch documentary of Singapore History.

It was also a reflection for us to look back at what our founding father has fight for. He fought for Singapore independence. Finally, Singapore gained its independence day, 9 Aug 1965. The small red dot that once people have no confident it can excel. Our late Prime Minister, Mr Lee proved to the world that what Singapore can be. Here we are today, we have achieved a World Class city and recognised by most.

I went to work with a heavy heart as I still can't get over our Founding Father has left us.

May your soul Rest in Peace, Sir.

Thank you Winston for sharing this with us...
