SINGAPORE: The Workers' Party (WP) held its first rally of the 2015 General Election on Wednesday (Sep 2).
The rally was held at a field in front of Blk 837 Hougang Central. It was for the Hougang SMC Electoral Division, where WP is the incumbent.
A total of 14 candidates gave speeches - a mixture of ward incumbents and new faces.
Topics ranged from proposed policies like the introduction of minimum wage and a through-train education programme that bypasses Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), to hot issues like the cost of living and foreign workers, as well as WP's defence of the management of the AHPETC.
