The four koalas - in Singapore since April - are on loan from Australia.
SINGAPORE: Visitors at Singapore Zoo will have until Jan 3, 2016 to see the four koalas there, before they return to Australia.
The four animals – named Cantik, Sayang, Nila and Manja – arrived in Singapore in April. They are on loan from Australia as the countries mark 50 years of diplomatic relations, as well as Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence.
From Dec 5 to 27, Singapore Zoo will hold a farewell party every weekend for the koalas, said Wildlife Reserves Singapore in a news release on Friday (Nov 27). Visitors will be able to take part in activities including games, story trails and face-painting.
The koalas – previously known as Chan, Idalia, Paddle and Pelita – will be quarantined for a month before they depart for Australia.
