#Recipe: Berry Cheese Tart
Berry Cheese Tart
Pastry:
100g butter
75 icing sugar
200g plain flour
1 egg
Half teaspoon vanilla essence
Method:
1. Beat butter and icing sugar.
2. Add egg & vanilla essence. Continue to beat
3. Add flour and mix evenly
4. Press dough into tart tins and bake at 160C for approximately 20 minutes
5. Cool tart shell
Cheese filling:
250g cream cheese
60g castor sugar
20g butter
Vanilla essence
Method:
1. Mix cream cheese, sugar and butter using a mixer
2. Add vanilla essence
3. Fill the cooled tart shells with cream cheese.
4. Bake at 160C for 10 minutes
Let cool and top with fruits of your choice.
Best served chilled!
