#Newsflash: Trust in Singapore government's COVID-19 response high: study

Singaporeans' confidence in the local government's response to COVID-19 is high with only 9% saying they have been let down, according to data from global intelligence unit McCann Worldgroup Truth Central's ongoing study on the pandemic.

"Truth About Culture and COVID-19", the study also found that Singapore's figure has been the lowest out of 25 countries polled, compared against the 27% global average.

Respondents in Asia Pacific were positive the crisis would "inspire new innovations" especially in Singapore, with 58% agreeing—the highest figure worldwide.

On the other hand, 29% of Singaporean respondents raised concerns about people becoming more racist due to the pandemic, a figure higher than the 18% global average.

McCann Worldgroup's study has been running since March 2020, with a reach of 18 markets across the world. It has been expanded to include 7 APAC markets, including Singapore recently.
